A high-waisted midi pencil skirt that keeps the front completely clean and saves everything for the back. A concealed zip runs down from the waist. Below it, the split is held by six pairs of silver rings, laced like a ritual, so the leg shows only as she walks away.

Cut from the same Barbie Georgette as the Elektra trousers, chosen on purpose. It doesn't crease, even after you've sat down and stood up, so it looks as sharp at midnight as it did at nine in the morning.

There is no elastane and no stretch. The skirt doesn't pull or cling, and it keeps its own shape rather than borrowing yours. The waistband rises 4 cm above the natural waist, so the skirt sits shaped and structured on the body, holding a clean line from the waist to below the knee.

Wear it with a tucked-in tee and heels for the city, or with a fine black turtleneck for the evening. With boots and a leather jacket, it belongs to London Witch.
